The French shipping and logistics major CMA CGM has placed an order for four Airbus A350F, as it takes major steps forward in developing CMA CGM Air Cargo. The order continues the company’s development activities of complete logistics solutions for its customers.

Equipped with the latest technologies and in particular with optimised fuel consumption, the A350F will be, upon delivery, the cargo aircraft with the best environmental performance in the sector, particularly in terms of CO2 emissions, according to CMA CGM.

With a carrying capacity of more than 100 metric tons and a range of nearly 9,000 kilometres, the A350F will strengthen CMA CGM’s long-haul offer.

Launched in February 2021, the air cargo division, CMA CGM Air Cargo, has today a modern fleet of four Airbus A330-200F which will be completed by two Boeing 777 freighter aircraft, starting in spring 2022.

To remind, the company has placed an order for two Boeing 777 freighters with Boeing in September. With a range of 9,200 kilometres, the 777 freighter can carry a maximum payload of 102 tonnes, allowing CMA CGM Air Cargo to make fewer stops and reduce landing fees on long-haul routes.
