Martin Bencher Airfreight chartered Cargolux Airlines for the transport of a marine shaft from Luxembourg to the United States.
The marine shaft weighed 17,25 tons, and measured 750 by 200 by 130 centimetres. It was first transported from Hirtshals, Denmark, to Luxembourg by truck. In Luxembourg, Cargolux Airlines loaded the marine shaft through the nose of the Boeing 747 freighter.
The cargo was flown from Luxembourg to Miami, Florida, in the United States (US). The overall transit time, going from shipper to destination airport in the US, for the cargo was only 72 hours.
