The complex transport and logistics company, Lubbers Logistics Group has executed another step in its growth strategy within the renewable energy sector. The company will open doors at its new facility at Westlob 3 in the Eemshaven, Netherlands on August 1.

The location is located in the Beatrixhaven at the premises of shipping & stevedoring company Wijnne Barends, the logistics services provider noted in a statement through its social media channels.

From this facility, Lubbers Logistics Group aims to serve the local market in and around the Eemshaven. Due to the presence of trucks and trailers at this location, the company will be able to respond quickly to requests. The facility will also fulfill a supporting function within its European groupage network.

Being present in the Eemshaven is part of Lubbers’ growth strategy within the renewable energy sector. The Eemshaven port plays an important role regarding assembly and shipping activities of wind turbines and will become a leading port in the field of power cable installation, maintenance and repair, the statement reads.

The move has been completed in cooperation with OWIC, Groningen Seaports and CCE – Cable Centre Eemshaven and Wijnne Barends that made the location available.
