Bolloré names new head for Horn of Africa cluster

Bolloré Transport & Logistics Horn of Africa cluster has appointed Ahmat Abdelkerim as its managing director effective July 2021. Abdelkerim has been tasked with managing the business activities in Djibouti, Ethiopia and Eritrea. 

In its statement, Bolloré informed that Abdelkerim takes over from Patrick Gerenthon, who has moved on to perform other duties within Bolloré Transport & Logistics.

Abdelkerim, originally from Chad, had occupied several managerial roles during his 20 year career at Bolloré Transport & Logistics before being promoted to managing director of Bolloré Transport & Logistics Chad in 2016.
As part of his new duties, Abdelkerim will supervise the development of the company’s logistics activities in the countries of the division and will contribute to reinforcing our presence in East Africa. His knowledge in operations will allow him to develop innovative and flexible solutions adapted to the needs of local and international customers.
