Wallenius Willhelmsen has named Lasse Kristoffersen as the company’s new CEO, starting no later than June 1, 2022. Kristoffersen joins Wallenius Wilhelmsen from the role of president and CEO in Torvald Klaveness, a role he has held since 2011. 

Kristoffersen replaces Torbjørn Wist, the company’s CFO who took on the position of acting CEO after Wallenius Wilhelmsen parted ways with its CEO at the time Craig Jasienski. Wist will continue to hold the role of acting CEO until Kristoffersen starts.

Prior to heading Torvald Klaveness, Kristoffersen was head of specialized dry bulk activities in the same company. Before Klaveness, he worked for 11 years in Det Norske Veritas (DNV).

Rune Bjerke, chair of the board of Wallenius Wilhelmsen, said, “The Board has conducted a thorough, global search process to fill the position.
