Broekman Logistics has been selected as the strategic partner for Holland Norway Lines in the port of Eemshaven. The cooperation has been sent off on its way by MV Romantika that entered the Eemshaven on April 1, to be prepared for its maiden voyage as roro and passenger ferry on April 7.

“As Broekman Logistics we are proud to be a partner of Holland Norway Lines. We will act as booking agent for the freight, we will handle the port agency operations for vessels entering the Eemshaven and furthermore will support Holland Norway Lines in their ambitions to expand the connection between Norway and the Netherlands,” says Andre van der Kevie, branch manager Broekman Eemshaven Services. “Utilising our experience in the Eemshaven, we are able to support Holland Norway Lines in all their activities and we are looking forward to a fruitful collaboration in the coming years.”

On its southbound journey from Kristiansand to Eemshaven the MV Romantika also delivered OOG cargo. Broekman Logistics spokesperson noted that a small yacht on a trailer was delivered to Eemshaven and that OOG cargo will be occasionally handled on this shipping line between Holland and Norway.

The roro and ferry operator was founded in 2020 to establish the first direct connection for both passengers and freight between Eemshaven in the Netherlands and Kristiansand, Norway.

“For Holland Norway Lines we were looking for an experienced partner in the logistics industry who is able to support as shipping agent, port agent and stevedoring. This is where we found Broekman Logistics. We see Broekman Logistics as our long term strategic partner in the port of Eemshaven on our mission to becoming Holland’s largest shipping line for international passengers, goods and freight between Holland and Norway,” said Bart Cunnen, CEO of Holland Norway Lines.
