Rotterdam-headquartered Broekman Logistics has opted for experience when it made the decision to appoint Martijn Tasma as director of international freight forwarding. Tasma’s appointment has come into effect on April 1, 2022.

After starting his career at Maersk, Tasma worked at Geodis for 13 years. Here he held various operational and commercial positions, including in India, where he lived and worked for three years as national sales director. For the past three years Tasma has been working at Samskip Logistics as director global freight forwarding, where he has been responsible for P&L and has implemented structural improvements in the field of sales, purchasing and operations.

Broekman Logistics intends to leverage Tasma’s international experience within the freight forwarding business in order to further develop, digitalise and deeper connect the internal freight forwarding division with the company’s strategic global partnerships.

More recently, Broekman Logistics partnered up with Holland Norway Lines in the port of Eemshaven. “We will act as booking agent for the freight, we will handle the port agency operations for vessels entering the Eemshaven and furthermore will support Holland Norway Lines in their ambitions to expand the connection between Norway and the Netherlands,” Andre van der Kevie, branch manager Broekman Eemshaven Services, said recently.
