Mammoet announces expansion in Florida

Mammoet is opening a full-service two-acre yard in Cocoa, on the East coast of Florida. This yard will facilitate the servicing of  East Coast heavy lift and transport needs. This Brevard County location will further establish Mammoet’s presence in the East Coast market and will act as a hub for their equipment.

The opening of this facility follows several years of activity in the region, notably with a project in Fort Lauderdale, in MAy, where a Mammoet team assisted the construction management service, Archer Western and De Moya Group in removing the westbound State Road 84 bridge over the I-95. This widened travel lanes on I-95 below the interchange with I-595 and improved the efficiency of the SR 84 interchange. In recent years, Mammoet has also worked in various industries such as manufacturing, infrastructure, power, transmission and road transport.

The Cocoa location, in combination with their existing Atlanta, Georgia branch, will strengthen Mammoet’s position in the Southeastern United States, a market with significant growth potential. In addition to working on mega projects, Mammoet will also be able to provide the region with smaller lift and transport demands.

Available equipment will include a fleet of crawler cranes weighing up to 300 tonnes, transporters, jack and slide equipment, gantries, and rigging at the site. This will improve flexibility as well as response times for regional projects.
