Rhenus Logistics Spain acquires Aduanas Alié

The German logistics company, Rhenus Group has acquired the Barcelona-based company, Aduanas Alié. This new acquisitions’ strong presence in the Maghreb region will strengthen Rhenus’ logistics network in the fast-growing region that is North Africa.

Aduanas Alié is a key logistics provider in traffic flows between Spain and Northern Africa. In particular, Aduanas Alié has a strong presence in Morocco, who’s strategic location, and position as a regional leader, makes it an important gateway to Africa. Tangier in particular is quickly becoming an international business and logistics hub. This acquisition is part of Rhenus Logistics Spain expansion strategy.

Indeed, Rhenus has been strengthening its operations involving Morocco, since 2008, and even more so since opening an office in Tangier in 2015 (its first office in Africa). Indeed, this strategic market, seeing a sustained rise in trade, offers Rhenus Group the opportunity to serve as a logistics partner in sectors including pharmaceuticals, textiles, manufacturing, automotive and tech.

Rhenus has also been expanding in Europe, Asia, and South America in the past years.
