MacGregor receives more than EUR 43 million orders for heavy-lift cranes

The Rotterdam-based MacGregor firm, a leader in sustainable maritime cargo and load handling which is a part of the Finnish group Cargotec, has received two orders for heavy cranes, totalling at over 43 million euro.

The order is for 56 heavy lift cranes, with a size of 80 tonnes to 150 tonnes. They are connected to global service support and have active safety systems. Fourteen 62,000 deadweight tonnage (dwt) multipurpose vessels were also ordered, which have been built at two shipyards in Asia. The vessels are scheduled to be delivered to the customer in the second quarter of 2023 and will be delivered up until January 2026.

The Senior Vice President of Merchant Solutions for MacGregor, Magnus Sjöberg, stated: “I’m very proud of the confidence that these two customers have chosen us to supply their heavy-lift cranes. We look forward to providing our high-class equipment and services again.”
