Appointments: TGP, Air Partner and Hellmann make new recruitments

Over the past few days, a number of companies have been strengthening their leadership positions, with Trans Global Projects, Air Partner and Hellmann all bringing in new people.

TGP Names Renato Mello Managing Director TGP Brasil

Bringing over 14 years of industry experience, Renato Mello has been appointed Managing Director for TGP Brazil. He has held senior positions in business development and project management at various global logistics companies.

With his strong regional market knowledge and client-orientated mindset, Renato is set to lead TGPin providing tailor-made logistics services to customers in Brazil across numerous industries. Together with Marco Bregoli, who will continue to overlook the South American region as Managing Director South America, Mello is seen as a strong asset as TGP grows its presence across the continent.

Air Partner bolsters cargo division

Air Partner, the global aviation services group, has appointed Andrew Powers as Head of Business Development for the Cargo Division. Andrew will work closely with Air Partner’s global cargo team, leveraging his expertise to expand the group’s presence in the air cargo market, to deepen existing relationships with freight forwarders, and to create new business opportunities.

Powers brings over 25 years of experience working in cargo and freight to his new role and most recently spent eight years as Sales Manager at AirBridgeCargo Airlines. As Head of Business Development, Powers aims to grow existing accounts and expand Air Partner’s presence across the spectrum of the air freight market, including the aerospace, automotive, and humanitarian sectors.

Andrew will work closely with VP of Global Freight, Pierre Van Der Stichele, who said of the appointment:

“Andrew will be an excellent addition to our team. Bringing his own experience of cargo and the aerospace industry on board, we are confident that Air Partner will continue to be both active and successful in these sectors as he drives forward new business opportunities for the company.”

Hellmann names Friederike Prasuhn as CPO

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has appointed Friederike Prasuhn as Chief People Officer (CPO) effective October 1, 2022. She has been serving in the position ad interim since 2020, with a brief pause. Now permanently in the role, Friederike Prasuhn is responsible for the global HR activities of the internationally active logistics service provider and serves as a permanent member of the International Executive Board.

Friederike Prasuhn is a tenured Hellmann employee, with over twelve years of experience in the company. Prasuhn started her career at Hellmann in the Learning & Development department and took over its global leadership in 2018. In 2020, she was appointed to the role of Chief People Officer on an interim basis and, during her tenure, has significantly expanded the global HR function’s reach and firmly established it as a central pillar of the company’s strategic corporate development.
