The Austrian info-logistics provider, cargo-partner has opened their first Spanish office, in Barcelona, as announced in August.

The growing team of 14, led by managing director Oriol Asturgo, is celebrating eight weeks of operating. “It’s a very exciting time at cargo-partner as we continue to expand into Western Europe,” stated Asturgo. The branch offers air, sea, land transport and logistics services in the region. Barcelona is well connected to Spain’s major logistics hubs including the Barcelona and Madrid airports, Barcelona, Valencia and Algeciras ports, and road transport hubs in Barcelona, Madrid, Zaragoza, La Jonquera and Irún.

“The decision to open an office in Barcelona was driven by the needs of our existing customers in the region. Our new setup in this strategic location allows us to benefit from cargo-partner’s comprehensive network of offices and warehouses throughout Europe and to support the whole cargo-partner group with a full range of transport and logistics services,” explains Asturgo.

“Our office in Barcelona complements our network in Western Europe and allows us to benefit from synergies with other offices in the region to achieve faster transit times in road transport. In addition, we will use Spain as a hub for air and sea freight to speed up shipments from Europe to the Americas,” adds Asturgo.
