Growing Peruvian economy has been a signal enough for Manuport Logistics (MPL) to expand its presence in the country. Since the start of the month, the company has ben operational in Lima, supported by a team of experienced professionals.

“We are thrilled about expanding operations in the growing economy of Peru and enlarging our footprint in Latin America. Peru is a key market for our business and reinforces our development strategy and commitment to Latin America,” explains Guy Pasmans, CEO at Manuport Logistics.

“We look forward to bringing our years of expertise to this region and growing with our customers and partners,” adds Giancarlo Chavez, Branch Manager at MPL Peru. With offices in Brazil, Chile, and the U.S., Manuport Logistics has almost 20 years of experience in the region. MPL provides logistics services in different commodities such as liquids, chemicals, fertilisers, sugar, flooring, and consumer goods.

Through its offices in Antwerp (HQ) and the United States, the company already controls a substantial number of TEUs in the region. Having a local presence on the ground in key markets brings added value to our customers, as it gives them direct access to the people and the information. This way we can manage our customer’s supply-chains more effectively. “Latam is an important region for our business and we’re excited to have reached a critical mass, allowing us to position our own Manuport staff there, so we can optimise existing and new flows,” says Davidson Rodrigues, General Manager MPL Americas.

The company also intends to expand its team in Peru over the coming months, in line with its goals and ambitions in the region.
