SHV Holdings decided to stop the sale of their subsidiary for heavy lift and transport services Mammoet. The reason behind this choice is that the parties that showed interest in purchasing the company did not meet SHV’s aim of finding a better owner.

SHV announced that Mammoet was up for sale back in March, after concluding that supporting all eight groups under its ownership simultaneously in realising their full potential and ambitions is not the best way forward. “Mammoet will therefore continue the execution of the strategy within the SHV family of companies”, SHV stated in a note.

When the intention of selling the heavy-lift specialist was communicated, SHV put up for sale ERIKS as well. ERIKS is a specialised industrial service provider manufacturing mechanical engineering components. “With a new owner, ERIKS may not only focus on growing the existing business but also on acquisitions”, SHV said in March.
