Sarens PSG, a joint venture between Sarens and PSG Marine & Logistics, has now formed a new partnership with Aventus Energy. Under a joint venture agreement, a new entity named Aventus PSG will offer an integrated port marshalling service to the offshore wind sector.

Sarens PSG are specialist in turnkey heavy lifting and transport solutions to the offshore wind sector including port marshalling, floating wind deployment and WTG integration services, meanwhile, Aventus Energy specialises in inspection, repair, and maintenance solutions.

The decision for the joint venture came as the companies recognised market demand for a single integrated contract model capable of delivering a wide range of services that align with the combined scope of both entities.

Steve Clark, Managing Director of Sarens PSG commented, “This is a significant development for Sarens PSG and Aventus Energy. Bringing the expertise and capabilities of both companies together to provide a single integrated contract model is unique in the wind energy sector and we hope the move is well received by the market. It will also create huge potential for the local workforce to be involved in the delivery of some of the largest capex projects in Scotland’s history.”

Sarens PSG are currently executing a major port marshalling contract for the Moray West Offshore Wind Farm at Invergordon port which involves the load in, marshalling and load out of the largest and heaviest XXL monopiles ever handled in the UK.

Aventus Energy are supporting Sarens PSG on this project with services including Protective Coatings, Inspection & NDE, Steel Fabrication & Installation, Specialist Rope Access Systems and other associated services.

Ross Thomson, Managing Director of Aventus Energy, will lead the new Aventus SPG joint venture. He said, “Everyone at Aventus Energy is delighted to form this joint venture with Sarens PSG. We look forward to combining both companies’ expertise and capabilities to introduce an unparalleled service offering for Port Marshalling and OEM Integration projects. We believe this turnkey approach will be viewed favourably by our existing and future clients.”

Aventus SPG plan to commence a recruitment drive immediately which will include offshore wind-specific training and an apprentice scheme, providing multiple decades of prospects for those interested in environmentally focussed careers.
