Cargo-partner, an international transport and logistics provider, has recently opened a new office located close to London Heathrow Airport. Now, the cargo-partner teams are based across four locations in the UK, namely Manchester, Basildon, Bradford, and London, and offer a range of transport solutions including air, sea, and road transport.

In 2021, cargo-partner embarked on a joint venture with Aztek International Freight and subsequently acquired the remaining shares of the UK-based company in 2022. This move brought all expert teams under the cargo-partner brand, and the company continues to expand its operations in the UK.

Neil Murray, Managing Director of cargo-partner in the UK, explained, “It’s been a fantastic year – we’re continuing to invest in the team, launch new products and solutions across our vast portfolio, and this new London office sees us continue to deliver on our growth strategy, providing another great location for us to support our clients and partners.”

“As the capital city of England and a major economic center in Europe, London attracts a diverse range of industries and businesses. Our new office is ideally located next to London Heathrow Airport – one of the busiest airports in Europe – providing excellent connectivity and a network of transport options,” he said.

Well-connected

London has an excellent transportation infrastructure, with connections by road, air, rail, and sea. This makes it an ideal location for cargo-partner to deliver comprehensive transport and logistics solutions to its customers across all industries.

The M25 and M4 corridors are two of the busiest motorway interchanges in the UK, providing gateway road connections to further ports and networks. Additionally, nearby seaports at Harwich, Dover, and Folkestone offer sea freight services, while extensive air cargo services are available from London Heathrow, Gatwick, and Stansted airports.

cargo-partner’s new office is conveniently located opposite London Heathrow Airport, which is the UK’s largest airport by value. With direct flights, 95 per cent of the global economy is within reach, making it an ideal hub for cargo and logistics.

Team expanding

The cargo-partner UK team has expanded to 70 employees over the past few months, and the company is continuously offering career opportunities from their new base in London. Jimi Copperwheat has been appointed as the Area Manager South and National Product Manager Air Cargo, who will manage operations from the office. Additionally, the company is looking to fill multiple other new positions in the upcoming months.

Jimi Copperwheat brings over 30 years of experience in the logistics and transport industry, providing valuable expertise to his roles. Throughout his career, he has held senior positions in air freight, commercial and operations, and has recently joined cargo-partner after serving in a similar capacity with another international logistics firm.
