DHL Industrial Projects hires new Semiconductor department head

DHL Industrial Projects, a unit of DHL Global Forwarding managing complex project logistics, deep sea chartering activity and heavy-lift cargo, has turned to an experienced figure in John Lu, to head its Semiconductor department. Lu has been named as Global Sector Head of Semiconductor Fabrications. 

With over 20 years of experience in the industry and a background of 12 years in Asia working for various international logistics providers, John Lu brings extensive expertise to the role. His proven track record in delivering transport and project logistics solutions for the Semiconductor industry will significantly contribute to the continued growth of DHL Industrial Projects in this dynamic sector.

The Semiconductor industry is expected to reach a projected value of $1,380.79 billion by 2029, nearly doubling compared to 2022, according to DHL Global Forwarding. This substantial growth reflects not only a continuous upward trend driven by the ongoing digitalisation of various industries, the emergence of Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things, but also a diversification within the industry.
