After twelve years at the helm of BLG Logistics, Chairman of the Board Frank Dreeke will be stepping down from his position at the end of the year. The company’s supervisory board found a replacement within its ranks, unanimously appointing Matthias Magnor as his successor, effective January 1, 2025.

Matthias Magnor, who has been a member of the Board of Management and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the BLG Group since 2021, brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the company’s operations, the company said.

“We are very pleased that we have found a successor in Matthias Magnor who already knows the company very well and has successfully managed the transformation of BLG’s operational areas over the last three years,” Klaus Meier, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Bremer Lagerhaus-Gesellschaft said.

In response to his appointment, Matthias Magnor expressed his gratitude and pride in being chosen as the next CEO of the BLG Group. With a background in supply chain management, logistics, services, and trade, Magnor is well-equipped to guide the company through its next chapter of growth and development.

Frank Dreeke, the outgoing CEO, praised Magnor as his successor and expressed his confidence in the future of BLG Logistics under Magnor’s leadership. Dreeke, who has been a pivotal figure in BLG’s history, is stepping down due to reaching the standard age limit for board members set by the company in accordance with the German Corporate Governance Code.

“With Frank Dreeke we are losing a CEO who acted as both a manager and a family entrepreneur. He has been closely connected to the company since his childhood and has always steered BLG with clarity and optimism,” said Meier. “We look forward to the remaining time together as well as to what the future holds for the company.”
