The Istanbul-based heavy-lift and transportation company, Hareket, provided crane services for work at the Hassyan Clean Coal Power Plant in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Hareket provided and operated 1250-ton CC6800 crawler cranes, as well as 250-ton and 160-ton mobile cranes. The cranes were used for the assembly and disassembly of a generator, transformer, IP turbine, HP heater, feed water tank, tube bundle, condenser neck, as well as 5 more items.

The two smaller mobile cranes were used by Hareket for the 397-ton generator and other loads in the project. This project will increase the capacity of the Hassyan Energy Complex, which has been converted to run on natural gas instead of clean coal, to 2,400 MW. This switch should offset about 30 million tons of CO2 emissions by 2030. This is in line with the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050. The project will be fully operational in March 2023.
