Heavy-lift and engineered transport specialist Sarens facilitated the construction of Lithuania’s largest electric overhead line support, boasting a weight exceeding 100 tonnes. The company deployed its Tadano Faun ATF 400 and Terex Demag AC220-5 in collaboration with its client AB Kauno Tiltai and partner MB Dirginta for the infrastructure feat.

This monumental endeavour signifies a significant milestone in Lithuania’s infrastructure development.

Sarens’ Key Account Manager, Artūras Dadurka, sheds light on the project’s significance, stating, “The completion of this support marks the culmination of the reconstruction of the 330 kV electricity transmission line from Grobinė to Klaipėda in the Kretinga district, crucial for synchronization purposes.”

The transformation of the Grobinė–Klaipėda line, activated in spring 2024, from a single-circuit to a double-circuit configuration has not only enhanced electricity throughput but also fortified network reliability.
