Mammoet crane tips over on roundabout
A mobile telescopic crane of Mammoet has tipped over on a roundabout in the Dutch town of Tynaarlo. The driver did not sustain injuries but salvage works are expected to take a while and traffic is being diverted.
The driver was crossing the roundabout when it tipped over. Details of the accident are scarce but local media report that the roundabout is new and was build less than a year ago. Tynaarlo is a small Dutch town in the northern province of Drenthe.
According to a spokesperson of Mammoet, the cause of the accident is still being investigated. Emergency services told local media that another crane is needed to salvage the tipped over crane. At this point it is not clear if this lift will be performed by Mammoet, the spokesperson said.
