Bauberger moves twelve tonne machine

Global Industrial Relocation Network member, the Swiss company Bauberger, relocated machinery, including a twelve tonne machine. It was moved from one building near Birrfeld Airport, in Lupfig, Switzerland to another, for Suhner Schweiz, an industrial tool manufacturer.

Tools used include trucks, beams and steel plates, a five tonne forklift, and electric 15 tonne heavy-duty moving skates. After unloading the first machine, they brought a second one into the production hall. The first machine was lifted from the first location, through the roof hatch, before being positioned onto a Bauberger truck, and driven to the main plant.

At the second location, they moved the 12 tonne machine directly from the bridge of the truck with a lifting platform, onto a ramp and through the entrance gate, to the new production halls. The heavy-duty moving skates allowed them to deliver the machine with millimetre precision, using remote controlled technology, through the entrance gate of the new location.
