UK’s abnormal loads specialist, Collett, have completed the delivery of the second and final 215 Te Super Grid transformer to the Kintore Substation in Scotland.

Departing from the GE Facility in Stafford, the transformer was transported to Ellesmere Port utilising Collett’s 250 Te capacity Goldhofer girder bridge trailer. Loaded onto a coaster vessel, the cargo was shipped to the Port of Aberdeen. Following on, the transformer was discharged directly back onto the girder bridge by a 600 Te strut crane.
