Blue Water readies for growth in Caspian region

Blue Water Shipping has expanded its presence in Kazakhstan with a new office in Atyrau. With the expansion, the company strengthens its presence in the Caspian region which is important for its oil and gas activities.

“We have developed strong expertise with complex project transport in the Caspian region, and we will continue to focus on providing excellent logistics solutions to the industry. To do so, we have decided to expand our presence with a new office in Atyrau. In this way we will be closer to our clients and our network of partners”, says Stewart Macdonald, Business Development Manager at Blue Water Shipping.

Currently, Blue Water is overseeing the project management of a large transport assignment for TCO for the development and expansion of the Tengiz Oil Field in Kazakhstan.

“This project has allowed us to increase our expertise and competences in the energy sector both in Kazakhstan and further afield. We see a strong set-up in Kazakhstan as a natural step forward for us. We predict further growth in the energy sector and in related segments in the region”, comments Thomas Bek, Global Director for Blue Water’s Oil and Gas Division.
