Empire Energy Partners’ Offshore Division and Sarens have signed an MOU framework agreement to advance the progress of U.S. offshore wind projects. This partnership aims to merge Empire Energy’s engineering, procurement, and construction capabilities with Sarens’ expertise in large-scale heavy lifting and transport, to provide a cohesive solution for offshore wind developers.

This agreement formalizes the commitment of both organizations to utilize their combined strengths to cater to the growing need for comprehensive EPC solutions in the offshore wind market in the United States. Through collaboration, they seek to fulfil the rising demand for local offshore wind projects by delivering an all-encompassing solution. Empire Energy Offshore will lead as the main EPC contractor, with Sarens offering essential heavy lifting, transport, and engineering support to ensure the safe and efficient completion of projects.

“This partnership will allow us to expand our services in the U.S. offshore wind market,” said Mike Milledge, Senior Director of Offshore Wind at Empire Energy Partners. “By working with Sarens, we can offer our clients a full-service solution from start to finish, positioning ourselves as leaders in the renewable energy space.”

Sarens was previously involved in the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind farm and has experience in various projects in Europe and Asia. In the North Sea, Sarens has provided crucial support for major offshore wind farms in collaboration with Verbrugge Terminals in the Netherlands. Additionally, Sarens has played a key role in providing heavy lifting and transport solutions for large-scale offshore and floating wind projects in Taiwan and South Korea. This wealth of experience underscores Sarens’ enduring dedication to offshore wind projects globally.
