Breakbulk Europe will return to Bremen for the fourth consecutive year in 2021. “Bremen has proved to be a good fit for the Breakbulk attendees with its historical charm, modern amenities, maritime environment and visitor affordability”, said Nick Davison, portfolio director for Breakbulk events at Hyve Group.

Since Breakbulk Europe first moved to Bremen in 2018, the German city has welcomed breakbulk and project cargo professionals from more than 3,800 companies. According to Davison, Bremen “has gone above and beyond” to welcome the community.

“As we move further into this decade, we will consider alternate locations for 2022 and beyond to deliver new markets and fresh thinking, but for now, Bremen is the right choice and we would not hesitate to return in the future”, Davison said.

Breakbulk Europe has grown considerably over the past few years in Germany’s second-largest port. At the event in 2019, over 120 countries were represented at the fair. Along with many repeat exhibitors, the 2020 edition will feature 70 new companies, including Sarens, CEVA Logistics, DP World, and Airbus, which will promote its Beluga XL aircraft at the event.

The 2021 announcement comes three months before the opening of Breakbulk Europe 2020 which takes place in Messe Bremen from 26-28 May. The organization expects further growth this year.

The dates for Breakbulk Europe 2021 have been set at 18 – 20 May.
