Geodis expands its project logistics division

Freight forwarder Geodis is bolstering its project logistics division to also include the company’s Aid & Relief and Marine Logistics business. In addition, the division will also be rebranded from Geodis Industrial Projects to Geodis Project Logistics.

The name change reflects the more diversified service portfolio of Geodis in this sector which now goes beyond serving the industrial segment, the company states. Core markets for the division will be Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas, Aid & relief and Marine Logistics.

“Geodis Project Logistics represents the full spectrum of services we offer today”, comments senior VP Project Logistics Luke Mace. “While the logistical challenges of each sector can be very different, all have very important requirements in common: expertise in handling, attention to detail and quality of service.”

The company will offer its expanded services in over 30 countries. Globally, the division employs 550 project logistics specialists.
