Turkey’s major heavy haulage and heavy lifting company, Çaba & Misnak Project Logistics helped transport a 10-ton telescope mirror from Russia to the city of Erzurum.

The company noted the project was completed in support of the Eastern Anatolia Observatory Project (DAG), which is conducted by the Astrophysics Research and Application Center (ATASAM) of Atatürk University.

The telescope mirror loaded in Russia was transported to the observatory in the city of Erzurum. Due to the time constraint, the mirror weighing 10 tons and measuring 5.02×4.53×1.07 metres was transported with the help of the Russian military aircraft. It was later hauled to the mountaintop in Erzurum with the help of the hydraulic trailer combination.
