Hansa Meyer handles wind blades for two Vietnamese wind projects
Logistics services provider, Hansa Meyer Global Transport has recently ensured the delivery of project cargo for two wind projects in Vietnam. The company handled the delivery of several wind blades from China.
Hansa Meyer noted that its team in Shanghai managed the wind blades transport from the Chinese manufacturer to the Port of Shanghai. The second leg of the journey included the transport of wind blades from the Port of Shanghai to the Port of Ho Chi Ming, where Hansa Meyer’s Vietnam team took over.
“A direct receiving from the vessel onto a pre-arranged inland barge was followed by the receiving under-hook onto extendable trailers before moving more than 150 kilometres through the Vietnamese hinterland,” the company noted in its statement.
With an increasing focus and involvement into the growing wind energy market, Hansa Meyer expects its offices in China and Vietnam to become an increasingly important part of part of this emissions-free and sustainable source of energy.
