Since April this year, the F.H. Bertling Logistics teams have been hard at work moving project cargo from across the globe to a cold rolling mill in Brazil. The company called on the cooperation between its project teams from Beijing, Bremen and Sao Paulo to transport ‘heavy metal’

The company noted that a total of 40,000 freight tons of project cargo were delivered from China and Europe to ports located in Santa Catarina, Brazil. The equipment shipped included two mill housings each weighing 47.9 tones, shipped from Shanghai to Navegantes. Further two mill housings weighing 97 tonnes each were shipped from a manufacturer workshop in Germany via Antwerp to Itajai.

Additionally, a base plate weighing 60.9 tonnes was shipped from manufacturers workshop in Dalian via Shanghai to Itapoa.

Bertling Beijing was tasked with organising and coordinating the inland truck transport of the base plate from Dalian to Shanghai, as well as the port handling operation during the challenging lock-down phase in Shanghai in June 2022.
