BBC Sebastopol joins BBC Chartering fleet
BBC Chartering has added more tonnage to its fleet with the introduction of BBC Sebastopol, a multipurpose F500-type vessel, built at Taizhou Sanfu Ship Engineering in Taizhou, China.
BBC Chartering noted that the vessel is owned and managed by Briese Schiffahrts in Leer and has a deadweight capacity of 12,325 mtons. At an overall length of 147.2 metres and a breadth of 22.8 metres, the ship is equipped with two Liebherr heavy-lift cranes with a combined lifting capacity of up to 500 mtons. The vessel features MAN-B&W main engine which ensures an economical service speed of 15 knots.
Delivered to its owners at the end of September, the new vessel joined the fleet of BBC Chartering in Taicang in early October and has now concluded her first commercial voyage to the Mediterranean.
