Marguisa and United Heavy Lift open joint service to West-Africa

Marguisa Shipping Lines and United Heavy Lift have teamed up, opening a new joint project cargo and breakbulk service between Europe and Africa. 

The new joint service agreement is effective since the 1st of June, 2019. The companies will offer frequent sailings from both Northen Europe and the Mediterranean and Black Sea region to Africa.

With a small fleet of multipurpose vessels, Spanish shipping line Marguisa has been operating services between the Mediterranean region and Africa for over 30 years, while German project carrier United Heavy Lift operates a fleet of 15 multipurpose and heavy-lift vessels and has offices in Europe and Asia.

“We are thrilled to offer this new joint multipurpose service to all our customers with interests in West-Africa. The combination of Marguisa’s expertise in West-Africa along with the deep knowledge of United Heavy Lift in maritime transport engineering solutions will allow Marguisa to cover a vast range of maritime requirements evolving from general cargo and breakbulk shipments up to project cargoes, oversized and super heavy lift pieces,” said Francisco Duran, general manager at Marguisa.
