The two continuous shipunloaders (CSUs) have completed its journey from Nantong in China to Turkey. The unloading of the CSUs thyssenkrupp Mining Technologies was taken care of by the two vessel cranes, each having a 1,000 ton lift capacity.

In a brief statement through social media, company representatives confirmed the completion of the delivery.

To remind, the load-out of the two CSU, each weighing 1,300 tons with overall dimensions of 69 meters in length, 20 meters in width and 43 meters in height was completed at the end of last month.

The structures were delivered erected and pre-commissioned to Turkey onboard SAL Heavy Lift’s Type 183 heavy lift vessel Lone, built in 2011 by Pella Sietas Werft. This minimised the work that had to be done at the customer’s jetty in Turkey.

thyssenkrupp Mining Technologies’s teams in Germany and China jointly executed the delivery. The CSUs are purposed for unloading coal vessels for a subsequent conveying of the coal from the jetty to a coal fired power plant.
