Jumbo-SAL-Alliance’s fleet is busy all over the world. After the alliance’s heavy lift vessel Frauke delivered Liebherr cranes to Angola at the end of November, the heavy lift vessel Svenja discharged Tukan crane segments in Haifa, Israel.

The vessel loaded two engine houses and two portals in Bremen, Germany. At the final destination, the engine houses, which measured 18 x 8.52 x 35.84 metres with a weight of 330 tons, were directly installed onto the portals (22 x 9.12 x 22.8 m, 166 t) by using HLV Svenja’s cranes.

The two Tukan cranes from Kocks Ardelt Kranbau will be used at Haifa port for various loading and discharging activities. Three more cranes will follow in 2022.

The 2010-build Svenja is a Type 183/DP 1 vessel featuring two 1000-ton cranes.
