Project, breakbulk and heavy cargo specialist Intermarine has put Industrial Emma MPP straight into action after adding it to its fleet mid-February.

Despite the carnival season, Intermarine saw its newly chartered Industrial Emma deliver three 28 ft (8.5 meters) reels, each weighing 270 tons from Newcastle in the United Kingdom, to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. The multipurpose vessel then loaded a full belly of steel pipes and Christmas trees and is now on her way to the US Gulf.

Intermarine previously noted that Industrial Emma is a 7,700 DWT vessel with two 120 MT cranes, perfect for servicing customers in the Caribbean and throughout South America. Ports throughout the Caribbean and along the eastern and western coasts of South America are often restricted, many up rivers where deeper-hulled ships cannot berth. Intermarine’s multi-purpose fleet is designed with these ports in mind.

With an efficient draft and 122 meter LOA, Industrial Emma can easily access the ports Intermarine’s customers need.
