7 Worldwide Logistics ships industrial equipment from Germany to Iraq

7 Worldwide Logistics’ (7WL) team in Bremen transported 10 Units of Secondary Quench Exchanger, some spare parts, and lifting devices, on behalf of a producer of Heat Exchangers, in the oil and gas sector. The cargo was transported from Germany to Iraq.

The cargo was first collected at a factory in Berlin and transported by both barge and truck. Shortly before operations started 7WL was informed about a vessel rotation affecting their schedule. The chartered ship had already begun discharge and loading operations in Hamburg, despite the cargo still being at the supplier’s site. Despite this, and thanks to negotiations with MSC, Terminal Operators, Barge and Truck companies, the cargo was loaded on the day before the vessels’ departure.

After arriving at the Eurogate Terminal in Hamburg, the 12 OOG items were transferred to Mafi Trailer and then stowed on a bed of 12×40’FR inside the Monaco Maersk’s hatch. The Monaco Maersk is a general cargo vessel built in 2017, which flies under the Danish flag. With a length of 399 metres and a width of 58.6 metres, the ship has a gross tonnage of 214.286 tonnes. It is currently in the Red Sea. Upon arrival in the Iraqi port of Umm Qasr, 7WL’s local partner will take over the cargo and handle the oncarriage to the Refinery Site in Baghdad.
