Cargo-partner transports machinery from Germany to Norway

The German and Slovakian teams of the Dutch company cargo-partner collaborated on organising the transportation of out-of-gauge machinery from Germany to Norway.

The cargo, which consisted of food sorting machine parts, was shipped out of the Port of Hamburg. The machinery was packaged in three boxes. The first measured 9.91 metres by 4 metres by 3.17 metres and weighed 13,000 kilograms or 13 tonnes. The second measured 7.28 metres by 2,53 metres by 3.05 metres and weighed 4,500 kilograms or 4,5 tonnes. The third measured 4.63 metres by 4 metres by 2.48 metres and weighed 5,500 kilograms or 5,5 tonnes.

The transport of this shipment had to be carried out during the night and the cargo-partner team obtained a police escort and a traffic diversion to ensure the shipment’s safety. They then organised a specially equipped crane for loading the boxes onto the truck, for transhipment to flat rack containers. The team also took care of all customs formalities.
