BLRT Repair Yards has serviced all 14 Royal Wagenborg A-type vessels, in Tallinn, Estonia, over the past two years.

The last vessel to be repaired was the multi-purpose ship Alaskaborg in December. From 2020 to 2022, BLRT’s Tallinn yard has maintained 14 A-type vessels. Four of them, the Amazoneborg, Avonborg, Americaborg and Alaskaborg, underwent repairs this year. All four of these vessels have a deadweight hold capacity of 15,750 tonnes.

In addition to general maintenance, most of the Royal Wagenborg vessels also had ballast water treatments installed. In line with the Ocean Health initiative, the company has set a target to install at least 20 ballast water treatment systems (BWTS) per year. For example, in 2020, Tallinn Shipyard professionals fitted BWTS onto 13 Wagenborg vessels, 15 in 2021 and 9 in 2022.
