DAKO keeping busy from Far East to the Americas

Düsseldorf-headquartered DAKO Worldwide Transport has recently been living up to its name with involvement in projects across the globe. 

Jointly with their partners, the company recently handled the shipment of chemical plant equipment from Germany to China.

The main components of this consignment, two heavy phosgene reactors with dimensions of 9.4 metres in lenght, 4.9 metres in width and 5 metres in height, with single weights of 130 tons where transported from Deggendorf to Antwerp by river vessel and later transferred onto heavy lift vessel for the voyage to Shanghai.

Blades on the go

On the other side of the globe, the company had its hand in the delivery of 81.5 metre-long blades ex Mexico to Brownsville Port, in Texas, USA.

The operation was completed in collaboration with Volans, whose 2010-built multipurpose vessel Condor Patagonia loaded the blades for delivery to Peru. According to the vessel’s AIS data, it is still at the Port of Brownsville.
