Dajin Heavy Industry Corporation has shipped the final batch of eight XXL monopiles for the Moray West Offshore Wind Farm project, completing the delivery of all 48 monopiles. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the company as the first APAC supplier to deliver XXL Monopiles for the European market.

The Moray West Offshore Wind Farm project is located in the Outer Moray Firth, off the north coast of Scotland, and is expected to generate enough electricity to power 950,000 homes. The project is a joint venture between Ocean Winds and Engie, with a total capacity of 950 MW.

The MV Xiang He Kou is transporting the monopiles, a heavy lift vessel designed to transport offshore wind components.

Earlier this month, the two Moray West substations arrived in the Cromarty Firth and are awaiting installation at the wind farm. The first batch of transition pieces for the Moray West Offshore Wind Farm was dispatched at the end of October as well as the penultimate shipment of the XXL monopiles.
