Kubota and Broekman Logistics have strengthened their partnership with a brand new, to-be-build location in Weert, the Netherlands. The warehouse will serve as a hub for Kubota’s pan-European activities and the move from Born is expected to take place within twelve months.

The two companies started their cooperation in 2005 with a European Distribution Center (EDC) in Born. The EDC expanded in 2009 with the addition of value added services and now in 2021 forms a logistics campus of approximately 40.000 sqm for Kubota’s construction machinery division. At the 62.000 sqm warehouse in Weert Broekman Logistics will exploit the storage, assembly services and also the outbound logistics for the Kubota Construction Machinery throughout Europe.

The setup of the new warehouse in Weert will create an optimised layout of logistics and assembly, reduction in lead times and the facilitation of future growth for Kubota, Broekman Logistics said in its statement. Furthermore, it will contribute to both Kubota’s as well as Broekman Logistics’ goals in providing sustainable operations and services.

Mikio Taguchi, president of Kubota Baumaschinen and executive vice president of the CE Europe Business Unit at Kubota Holdings Europe, noted that this move is a big step forward for Kubota representing a significant investment helping it further improve its range of services.
