German heavy lift and project logistics specialist Combi Lift has strengthened its management team with Klaus Hilpert joining as managing director.

Combi Lift has significantly expanded its services over the past year, increasing its global footprint even further after founding the Forwarding Solutions Division in October. Klaus Hilpert was appointed as managing director and chairman of the board of directors to reinforce the team.

Klaus Hilpert brings more than four decades of experience in the project logistics industry.

The forwarding unit that kicked off operations in October 2021 consists of three specialists in the non-containerised cargo (NCC) segment. These include pieces and goods that can be transported both with and without the use of special equipment. The team is led by the general manager Matthias Gross.

“Our logistics offering primarily targets international customers in the machine building industry and plant construction sector, but we basically transport everything that fits or does not fit into a standard container – by ship, road or rail”, Matthias Gross, general manager, Forwarding Solutions Division, explained.
