Appointments: GAC Group, a. hartrodt and Port NOLA make moves
The past week has seen a number of appointments to leadership positions across a number of companies, most notably, the position of president at GAC Group. Additionally, a. hartrodt have named new Managing Director of a. hartrodt Deutschland and Port of New Orleans has added new names to help its customers with supply chain solutions.
New President at GAC Group
Global shipping, logistics and marine services provider GAC Group has appointed Pontus Fredriksson as its new Group President effective from January 2023.
Bengt Ekstrand, who has held the position for the past 10 years, will take on the role of Executive Co-Chairman alongside GAC’s long-standing Executive Chairman Björn Engblom.
Fredriksson joined GAC in 2007 and has been Group Vice President of GAC’s Americas region since August 2019. He previously held various finance and managerial roles in the Middle East, including Managing Director of GAC Bahrain.
Management switch for a. hartrodt Germany
There has been a change at the helm of a. hartrodt Germany as Vojislav Jevtic was named as new managing director. The 50-year-old freight forwarding specialist shares the management of the important national subsidiary with Hendrik Khezri (60), who had led the German organisation all alone from Frankfurt since September 2021.
At Germany’s most important seaport, Hamburg, Vojislav Jevtic tends to have more of a sea freight emphasis, while Hendrik Khezri has an air freight focus at Europe’s largest cargo airport. However, both Managing Directors decide jointly on all important issues. The spokesman function is assumed by Hendrik Khezri, who has been Managing Director since 2013.
Port NOLA puts focus on supply chain solutions
Port of New Orleans (Port NOLA) has made additions to its team as it focuses on providing innovatice suppply chain solutions for its customers. The port named Annie Villarrubia as business development manager – exports. It has also named Cameron Gibson business development manager – non-containerised.
In a brief notice, Port NOLA said the two newcommers are part of the port’s bright future.
