Appointments: a busy week for K+N, Bolloré, Allelys and SEKO Logistics ProMedia

Over the past few days a number of companies have made appointments by either hiring new people, promoting from within their own ranks. Kuehne+Nagel will see a shift on its board of directors, Bolloré Logistics has strengthened its energy and projects team, with new names at Allelys and SEKO Logistics as well.

Kuehne+Nagel needs a new BoD member

Renato Fassbind has decided no to stand for re-election to the Kuehne+Nagel International board of directors following twelve years of service. During the Annual General Meeting, to be held on May 9, 2023, Vesna Nevistic has been proposed for election to the BoD of the company.

Nevistic has extensive international experience in management consulting and investment banking, was a partner at McKinsey, including a focus on logistics, and a managing director at Goldman Sachs. She currently runs her own consulting firm focusing on corporate strategy and transformation and is a board member at Compagnie Financière Richemont, among others.

Bolloré Logistics strengthens energy and projects team in Asia Pacific

Bolloré Logistics has strengthened its energy and projects team in the Asia Pacific region by appointing new managers. Erik Mancini has been appointed regional director with effect from January 1, 2023. Philippe Somers joins the company as head of energy and projects for North Asia, effective January 9, 2023 while John Schofield has taken on the role of head of sales as of January 3, 2023.

Erik Mancini

Mancini has worked for Bolloré Group for the past 28 years across various entities and roles, he most recently played an instrumental role in leading the development of the industrial projects vertical in Asia Pacific, successfully structuring major deals for the company. Eric takes over from Frederic Gervais who has assumed the role of strategic account director based in Malaysia.

Based in Tokyo, Somers will help to strengthen Bolloré Logistics’ ExP position within North Asia, overseeing the development and management of the company’s North Asia activities. Schofield, will manage all sales aspects of the ExP team in the region including business development, regional account management and bid responses.

SEKO Logistics bring Alfred Hofmann onboard

Logistics provider, SEKO Logistics, has named Alfred Hofmann as Senior Vice President, Global Ocean Freight. In this role, Hofmann will lead SEKO’s global ocean freight team in advancing and executing division and overall company strategies.

Hofmann joins SEKO after a 36-year-long tenure at Kuehne+Nagel where he served in many leadership roles. Among other positions, Hofmann served as executive vice president of Ocean Freight APAC and president of South Asia Pacific.

Allelys expands commercial team

UK’s heavy loads specialist, Allelys has further strengthened its commercial team with Jamie Woodland accepting the role of commercial manager.

Woodland has worked within the business for the last four years and has progressed through a number of operational roles. His new position will enable him to utilise his extensive operational knowledge to offer our customers commercial solutions that add value to their project requirements.
