
Van der Vlist splits Terminal Moerdijk into two units
A Dutch logistics services provider, Van der Vlist, has decided to split its Terminal Moerdijk into two business units, and bring onboard the first three Volvo FH Electric trucks.
At Moerdijk, the company has set up Van der Vlist Moerdijk Port and Terminal Logistics and Van der Vlist Moerdijk Technical Services. Speaking of the decision, Matthijs van der Vlist, managing director at Van der Vlist Terminal Moerdijk said, “This was very much needed and was imminent.”
The Van der Vlist facility at Moerdijk has always catered for a wide and varied range of activities and services. By splitting the terminal and technical activities, the company believes it can create more focus and are able to grow both services further.
The Port and Terminal activities are already being coordinated from Graanweg 2. Technical services will remain located on Komeetweg 8.

Van der Vlist goes electric
Van der Vlist has received the first three Volvo FH Electric trucks after a bit of a wait. The trucks are at the dealiership ready for a final PDI before receiving the company branding.
Van der Vlist is building a sustainable business with the aim of minimising its impact on the environment. With the purchase of the electric trucks, Van der Vlist is taking another step towards its sustainability ambitions.
