New heavy-lift equipment player enters growing Indian market

Specialized project freight forwarder, deugro, pounced on the opportunity to position itself as a major heavy-lift equipment player in India’s growing market. In order to capitalise on the opportunities, deugro established DHP Heavylift Solutions, to operate own barges and specialised trailer equipment in the country.

The initial investment refers to two barges as well as four Goldhofer heavy duty modular trailer combinations, each with six axle lines (PST/SL-E), that will enable the company to participate in the development of the emerging Indian market.

Responding to unique heavy-lift transport needs

deugro Projects (India) has carved a major position in the country, handling challenging, complex shipments and projects involving overdimensional cargo (ODC) and heavy lift shipments along the coast and into the hinterland have become day-to-day business and always require unique transport solutions.

The cargo contained units weighing up to 1,060 metric tons

The smaller of the two barges will allow for reaching far into the Indian inland waterway network, which provides significant advantages to clients.
