Another slower week in the human resources department, as it seems that the peak of the transfer season is over. However, there are a few noteworthy appointments have been made over the recent period by Vattenfall and deugro.

Vattenfall picks interim country manager in the UK

Swedish multinational power company, Vattenfall has appointed Lisa Christie as its interim country manager in the UK. Christie is currently Vattenfall’s director of public and regulatory affairs for the UK, and will continue in this role alongside her new position.

According to the company, Christie will take up her new position on April 1, 2023.

“Vattenfall is growing in the UK market and it’s a privilege to represent the company and its people here. This is a critical period for decarbonisation and energy security in the UK, and Vattenfall intends to be a key partner on the journey to becoming a low-carbon economy,” Christie said.

deugro bolsters teams in Europe and North America

Project logistics specialist, deugro, has made a number of appointments over the recent period. The company has named Erwin Visser as its project manager for global wind renewable energy, a position in which he will be responsible for the further development of the company’s knowledge and capabilities in the cable industry.

Visser comes with vast experience working for heavy lift and crane companies, where he also gained his knowledge centered around the cable industry. He has been based out of the Middle East for more than 20 years and is now at his home base in the Netherlands.

deugro has also named Ivan de Souza as regional sales director, North America. In his new role, de Souza is tasked to continue positioning deugro in North America across several industry verticals, largely focused on mining and metals, and oil and gas.

De Souza has over 23 years of experience in project forwarding, ranging from operational roles to sales and business development. For the past four years, he has been instrumental in building up sales and business in his role as corporate vice president, sales and business development at deugro USA.
