The mining industry has been a happy hunting ground for DAKO Worldwide Transport again. The company has moved around 120,000 freight tons of mining equipment over the last couple of years for various clients across the globe.

A major highlight in the bunch are large quantities of cargo for the expansion of one of the largest copper mines in Kazakhstan. DAKO’s scope included the transport of cargo of all shapes and sizes from multiple origins like Germany, Finland, Spain, Austria, Turkey, the US, China and Brazil to the project sites.

The heaviest units DAKO transported during the period reached up to 130 tons, according to the company.

DAKO has also been very active in the power sector, as it recently moved two diesel engines from Europe to Gambia, dealing with a tricky final leg of the 6,000-kilometre journey. The units measured 11.25 x 3.35 x 5.58 metres and weighed 190 tons each.
