Konecranes adds Christine George to its leadership team

Finnish cranes and lifting equipment manufacturer, Konecranes, has made an addition to its leadership team. The company appointed Christine George Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy & Business Development, and member of the Konecranes Leadership Team.

According to the company, George will start at Konecranes on April 8, 2024, and will report to Konecranes’ President and CEO Anders Svensson.

George has held leadership positions in multiple global organizations, working in strategy, business development, transformation, and operations. She recently joined Konecranes from Seqens, where she served as Senior Transformation Leader. Prior to this, she held various leadership positions at Air Liquide, including Vice President of Strategy. Additionally, she has served as CEO and Chair of the Board at Ergosup, a hydrogen technology start-up.

Effective April 8, 2024, the Konecranes Leadership Team will consist of Anders Svensson, President and CEO, Teo Ottola, CFO, Fabio Fiorino, Executive Vice President, Industrial Service & Equipment, Juha Pankakoski, Executive Vice President, Port Solutions, and for the time being, Executive Vice President, Technologies, Christine George, Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy & Business Development, Anneli Karkovirta, Executive Vice President, People & Culture, Sirpa Poitsalo, Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Minna Aila, who will join Konecranes as Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs & Brand on July 1, 2024.
