West Africa specialist with its head office in the Netherlands, Breadbox Shipping, has expanded its presence in the Mediterranean with a new office in Cyprus. The office will be headed by Yusuf Yusufogly, with operations starting from July 1, 2024. 

According to Breadbox, the regional office will exclusively manage commercial activities from the Mediterranean to Western, Southern, and Eastern Africa as well as explore new opportunities.

Yusufoglu who will be heading the office has overseen Breadbox’s multipurpose (MPP) service from the North Continent and Mediterranean to West Africa. Yusuf’s appointment underscores Breadbox’s commitment to maintaining a robust presence in cargo traffic from the Mediterranean to West Africa.

Currently, Breadbox operates 1-2 sailings per month from the Mediterranean to West Africa, serving a diverse range of industries with various cargo types. The company’s fleet, consisting of both owned and time-chartered vessels ranging from 3,000 dwt to 30,000 dwt, is well-equipped to handle a wide spectrum of cargoes, including Breakbulk, IMO, bulk, and project cargo, across African destinations.
